We cannot offer these programs without the help of our dedicated volunteer ministers (about 160), who are mostly parents like you! Both adults and young people that serve in this ministry follow the Archdiocesan Safe Environment Guidelines.
o All adults (ages 18+) will attend VIRTUS safe environment training, complete a background check, and read and sign a Code of Conduct for Adult Volunteers, as mandated by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Adult volunteers will update their volunteer screening every 3 years.
o All young people (ages 12-17) will submit 2 letters of reference, and read and sign the Code of Conduct for Youth, as mandated by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
Catechists: Catechists may be an adult, or a young person that has received the Sacrament of Confirmation (typically 10th grade or older).
Classroom Assistants: Classroom Assistants may be an adult or young person.
The mission of the Junior/Senior High Faith Formation Program is to assist the teens of St. Vincent de Paul in exploring their faith and inspiring them to become committed Catholic Christians who practice gospel values in their daily lives.
The Faith Formation classes for Levels 7-10 meet on Sunday evenings. Two sessions are offered: 5 - 6:30 PM, and 7 - 8:30 PM. Parents may indicate their preferred day and time during registration. However, Please be aware that we do have special events where both sessions will attend at a special time for the evening. Having an all student special event allows our program to have a variety of speakers, retreats, and Masses to supplement our regular curriculum while also being good stewards of our budget. Thank you in advance for you flexibility.

Thank you so much to ALL the parishioners at SVDP who helped make the NW Metro Mobile Pack a success!
We had so many amazing volunteers - many of whom volunteered at multiple packing sessions!
We appreciate everyone's prayers for the event, as well as donations of money, time, and energy!
Your efforts helped us pack 1,784,160 meals for hungry children! Please continue to keep this event in your prayers as we hope to make the MobilePack an annual event in the Northwest Metro! #KidsGottaEatNWMetro!
