Auction Night Procedures
Silent Auction
- All items in the silent auction are numbered with the number shown on the bid sheet near the individual item in the merchandise display.
- Items will have a minimum bid amount stated on the bid sheet. Bidding must start with that price or higher.
- In addition to the minimum bid, each bid sheet will contain a minimum bid increment. Bids must be raised in increments equal to or greater than the minimum increment.
- If you wish to bid on a particular item, simply print your assigned bid number and the amount you wish to bid in the appropriate columns on the bid sheet.
- Once the bidding area is closed, auction personnel will collect the bid sheets and record the winners. A statement of silent auction items won and amounts due at checkout will be delivered to your table during dinner/live auction.
- Certificates won during the silent auction will be delivered to your table with your statements during dinner/live auction.
- Upon conclusion of the silent auction, proceed to checkout. All you will need is your bid number and we will furnish an updated statement to be settled with cash, check, or Visa/Master Card.
- All non-certificate items may be collected after checkout. Please bring your statements marked paid with you for verification.
- Any stated fair market value for items being auctioned is provided by the donor or is an estimate and is not warranted by St. Vincent de Paul church for tax purposes or for general value.
- Any decisions on disputed or illegal bids will be settled by the auction committee, which may result in the bids being nullified and the item pulled from the auction. All decisions are final.
Live Auction
- The live auction will begin at approximately 8:45 pm and continue until all items have been auctioned off.
- The winning bidder will be recorded and statements delivered during dinner for silent auction items will be updated for any live auction items won. You will receive an additional final statement at checkout.
