Employees and volunteers at St. Vincent's adhere to guidelines set forth by the
Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People
established by the United States Council of Catholic Bishops
(here's an overview of this document),
and by the Archdiocese of St Paul and Minneapolis's policy
"Restoring Trust: With God all Things are Possible".
Under these guidelines, employees and volunteers whose duties include (or may include) ongoing, unsupervised contact with minors agree to and sign their respective Code of Conduct - Code of Pastoral Conduct for employees, and Volunteer's Code of Conduct for volunteers. They undergo criminal background screening and participate in Virtus training to understand in common best practices in performing their important responsibilities. Children and youth in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School and Faith Formation programs participate in curriculum recommended by the Archdiocese. |
